Fire is a French resistance cell that works like every other cell, covert on display. Tom is in the USAAF and is shot down in the blink of an eye before D-Day. He is met by a Frenchman who questions him quickly about numerous things to ensure he is who he says he is. When Tom breezes through the test, he is left under the watchful eye of an elderly lady until he recuperates from his injuries. All Tom thinks about this amazing woman is that she has covered up and nurtured numerous Allied troopers. Is that everything to this woman or is there additional to her story?
Since Tom takes after a German trooper he is enrolled by the imperviousness to penetrate and do a mission that has coordinate ramifications for D-Day.
